1988 Peugeot 205 open review from UK and Ireland

When I first got my pug it had been owned by someone who didn't know the first thing about cars, we were going to use it for a stock car, but she was in too good condition and so I learned to drive in her and passed my test first time.

Things that have gone wrong

hole in piston- previous owner drove around with vacuum pipe from sunroof to brake master cylinder off which made her run too rich.

Both drive shafts

both wheel bearings

front disks and pads

rear wheel cylinder leaked

tailgate struts

glove box catch broken when I got her

sunroof leaked- this stopped when reattached vacuum pipe to master cylinder.

I love my little puggy to bits she is just the best and I will never get rid of it, I made the mistake of buying an astra when I thought mot would cost to much money, but hated the astra with a vengeance and mot'd pug to cost of £50 silly me.

I am just about to spend a small fortune on doing her up, new carb and air filter 2 spanky new drive shafts. going into garage for rear axle removal to replace the bushes.

Sticking on a gutmann grille, smooth rear panel, change the colour of trim, as it is the ltd ed open model which came about due to the open golf the trim is green and I have a green tartan interior, that's the only bit I am not that keen on.

A new set of wheels and tyres and a new stereo as the one I bought for it originally broke, cd is jammed and won't come out.

and she only cost my hubby £10.51p when he bought her for me on ebay for my xmas pressie with 9 months mot and 3 months tax
