2001 Peugeot 206 XSi review from UK and Ireland
"Great car, shame about all the problems, and the lack of dealer support"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine management failed resulting in the car being towed to the dealer.
Brakes failed after 3 months, required new brake pads, and brake disc's.
After having an accident, waited 4 months for a new front wing from Peugeot France.
Alarm didn't work, needed new bonnet switch.
Car recalled for dipstick problem by Peugeot.
Central locking failed on drivers door, new lock required.
Driver's seat runner's failed resulting in the seat moving forward rapidly when braking.
Heater squeaks when on, still not fixed!
Power steering failed, needed replacement power steering pump.
General comments?
This car handles brilliantly and looks good, plus is seriously fun to drive.
However the car is expensive to run in fuel and servicing costs.
