2001 Peugeot 206 LX review from UK and Ireland
"OK town run-about"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car was great when I bought it and has been reliable.
After about a year of owning the car the front passenger seat broke, and the whole frame had to replaced. After about two years I had a problem where on slowing down to come to a stop the engine would cut out, which was dangerous. On other occasions the Revs on slowing down would drop to like 200Rpm. Took the car to the dealer who found a fault with the engine management system. This fault has now been rectified, but now when using the air-conditioning the engines Revs can drop very low when slowing down or at tick over, but it does not do this all the time.
I have found after 2 ½ years the engines has got rougher and lack’s performance.
General comments?
The seat gets uncomfortable on long journeys.
You can't see the front of the car which makes parking a bit difficult.
The view out of the rear window is realty not very good.
