2000 Peugeot 206 GLX review from UK and Ireland
"A good performer and looker let down by poor quality components"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steering wheel not in straight ahead position when driving in a straight line.
Font passenger seat belt has jammed in the 'accident lock-off position', and won't pull out. Long wait for replacement, meanwhile front passenger seat unusable.
Clarion Multi-play cd in the boot keeps jamming.
Various dash bulbs need replacing frequently.
RDS radio won't lock onto a station and is continually searching for a signal.
Seat material is poor quality, and is marked very easily.
General comments?
This car is a delight to drive, and really enjoys being pushed.
Nice styling on exterior and interior.
Little room in the rear.
Power steering a little too responsive at speed.
Shame more thought wasn't put into the front wiper positioning, the handbrake lever and the control pedals.
Considering the GLX was partially bought for the RDS radio and cd changer, the system is really poor.
Certainly a better bargain than the Corsa SRI I previously owned.
