1998 Peugeot 306 GTi-6 review from UK and Ireland
"The best hot hatch by far"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Only had the car for a short while, I'm still looking for defects.
The timing belts will be changed shortly.
The overall package is very favourable, excellent performance and handling combined with reasonable build quality (I had a Citroen before!).
I like the "wolf in sheep's clothing" factor.
General comments?
Anyone considering a GTI-6, but cannot afford one should look no further than the scarce Citroen 2.0 16 valve.
Same engine (in 155bhp guise), lighter body.
Same running gear, suspension, even quicker steering.
Even more "wolf in sheep's clothing" appeal.
Loads of fun for £1500 - it just so happens I'm selling mine now I've got the GTI-6!
