What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overheated. Cylinder Head, Gasket, major parts of cooling system had to be replaced.
Brake Discs & Pads replaced.
Cam belt replaced.
General comments?
This car looks good. It's slightly pumped up version of the XSI. It's not THAT fast. You really have to get it spinning to make major headway (4500 - 5000+ revs), below that there is little response.
MANY PARTS ARE NO LONGER MADE BY PEUGEOT. It is a NIGHTMARE to find and fit some of these parts. i.e. Cylinder Head (!).
It handles very well. Is quite a big car inside, comfortable for passengers, good size boot.
Dealers EXPENSIVE, lack knowledge and interest.
No Airbags.
Drinks petrol like there's no tomorrow. 23mpg round town.
Spend a bit more and get a GTI-6.
