1995 Peugeot 306 SR review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox leak two weeks after being bought brand new. Peugeot failed to fix problem twice. Car still has a small oil leak.
Driveshafts replaced twice within one year of being bought.
Gearbox problems still keep popping up.
Brake cylinder leaks front and back. Whole slave cylinder units replaced front and rear because Peugeot do not sell the unit seals separately.
Electric window motor replaced.
Drive shaft boots.
General comments?
The single most expensive car I have ever owned. I am unable to sell the vehicle because no one in the Middle East wants to buy one.
Besides the reliability factor, the car is comfortable and easy to drive at low and high speeds.
The engine is powerful for its size and always willing if a little harsh at high revs.
Has a lot of character (Unusual and welcome amongst the jelly mould 90's).
