Absolutely FANTASTIC car.
Very quick for a diesel.

I have now just hit the 189,000mile mark and its still going strong. Only fault was the wheel bearings giving up at 182,250. They were quite expensive (£495). This car is a serious mile muncher, and is still an absolute pleasure to drive.
I own a 306 turbo diesel. Handling wise its top notch, reliability in electronics not that great, performance wise not that impressive especially off the line. Its performance spec 0-100 is in 14.3 sec 306 dturbo 3 door. personally I do not call that fast!
I think you will find that your 14 sec time for 100 is completely wrong. an escort cosworth takes 17 to get to that speed. these turbo diesels are quick enough off the line, but its the in gear shove i. e overtaking power that they really shine.
