1993 Peugeot 306 XR review from UK and Ireland
"A quick and cheap motor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I got this car very cheap and have had loads of problems with it.
For a start I had to replace the cat and the middle box on the exhaust, be awere the cat is very expensive at £259 then the middle box at £36 and a pipe going from each box at £12.
Accelerator pedel needed adjustment as it was to high.
Rear window wiper motor needed replacing £50.
I got away with ajusting the cluch, but is on its way out at 88000 miles.
A door curtise light went wrong £15 from a scrap yard would cost £74.99 from dealer.
And an indicator lense (left) once again from a scrap yard £10.
General comments?
When all these problems was done the car was a dream to drive. It has the power when you need it and starts first time on the cold mornings with no problem.
A good cheap car as it is on insurance group 5 and also cheap to run.
Handles the road like a dream, sometimes you can be doing more than you think as the car is so quiet and comfy.
The interea is very nice this car has not been smoked in and been kept in superb condition so there is not much to say about the interea.
It's a very nice looking hatchback and a very stylish car.
