1995 Peugeot 306 cabriolet review from UK and Ireland
"For my money, style and class"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
ZF auto box failed at 27500 miles due to oil cooler seal failure. BUT, Peugeot made a generous contribution to the cost of a ZF rebuilt unit and the dealer also provided a new cooler/no charge. Perrys Portsmouth are very good, mind you I've only ever been to one dealer so I can't compare. The service manager I always used was excellent. I bought the car new in 1995 after 30 years of Citroens. I'm going to get another 306 cabrio / the're a classy car.
General comments?
The vehicle has never failed to start.
First set of original Michelins lasted 55000 miles. Second set of Green Michelins still in place. Battery lasted 8 1/2 years. Convertible top shows no signs of wear. Doesn't use oil'of course I change oil every 3000 miles or 3 months (look after the heart and your OK.) When I get tired of the interior I'll have the seats done in white pleated Itaian leather ala Maserati. Painted brun scarabi.
