2000 Peugeot 306 d Turbo review from UK and Ireland
"Fast, fun, and cheap to run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The low coolant light keeps coming on randomly, when the levels fine.
For a while whenever I put the air con on, the stop light would flash, but now works fine.
There's a knocking sound from the rear nearside wheel, not sure what it is, but needs attention.
The fan belt shredded 2 days after I bought the car!
General comments?
It's been a cracking car while I've had it, I've done nearly 10k in 5 months of owning it, its cheap to run, insure, looks great on 17s!
Its chipped to 120bhp, as I thought the standard 90bhp was a bit feeble or such a sporty looking car, and I also had a full de-cat straight through powerflow exhaust, which sounds great, gives the turbo a distinct whistle, and a deep growl. makes the car pull amazingly too. will top 130mph on the clock!
It also has a part leather gti-6 interior, as the cloth seats werent up to the image!
The handling is good, but I can't comment too much because it had 17s on it from when I bought it.
