2001 Peugeot 307 XSi review from Australia and New Zealand
"Unsafe, uneconomical, too much plastic, not for the open road. A plastic toy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oil leak from gearbox.
Magnets and solenoids faulty from new.
Peugeot have not replaced small incorrect size magnets with the correct size.
Loses drive.
Falls out of gear.
Clunky jerky while increasing and decreasing speed.
Plastic panels fall off.
Carpet does not fit and glue lets go inside.
CD does not change discs.
Electronics unreliable hot and cold.
Paint is thin and easily marked.
Advertised as a Porsche gear box; it is a Renault gear box.
This car could never be driven over 50kph; too many problems.
Body is soft; constant dents from parking in the supermarket.
General comments?
This Peugeot 307 is not a safe car at any speed.
Uneconomical to drive.
Too many problems to list here.
Glue lets go on plastic panels.
