2003 Peugeot 307 review from Australia and New Zealand
"Lovely car, needs pedigree care"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just to let everyone know!!! If you get the catalytic converter fault or the emissions fault coming up, DO NOT (as I did) run off to get major repairs done. None of them worked despite the number 1 dealer swearing they needed fixing and changing me an arm and a leg.
I found a good mechanic who knew his Peugeots, he flushed the oil and put an additive in the refill to help keep the hydraulic lifters running smoothly when the engine is cold (this was the problem, sticky lifters). The refill is not for sale off the shelf and is made by Wynne's. For $200 I had my $2600 plus problem fixed, she now runs like a pussy cat. He recommended getting the service guys to put it in at each oil change.
