"Overall a great improvement over the 306"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None as yet.

General comments?

Overall I am very happy with my 307 Rapier Hdi 90.

However, I agree with the other owners who have reported problems with the indicator stalk/headlight flashing.

I have wondered if this will lead to me inadvertantly flashing someone when I am trying to indicate, resulting in them possibly hitting me. I am therfore being over cautious at the moment.

I have also experienced the rough idle problem - only once though, and do not have any problem with cold starts.

I must admit though that even though the pre heat light goes out straight away, I still wait a little longer - force of habit from my 306.

Only other thing I have noticed is that the engine still seems very "tight" and that it doesn't like doing 30mph in forth or giving that good mpg figures at the moment.

I bought my Peugeot 307 xsi hdi 2.0 90hp as they called over in Cyprus can you explain a little bit more about the knocking and where it is coming from. my car is also making a noise and is coming from the drivers side near the front wheel. your information would be appreciated and what did they replace and say what it was!

Sorry its taken me so long to reply about the knocking.

The answer is it still does it after 11000 miles and the dealer couldn't find anything wrong.

Since I wrote my original piece various minor faults and glitches have appeared (all the normal ones, oil gauge footwell carpet etc etc) and the service from the dealer has been appalling. I have had 5 different courtesy cars in just over a year and the car still has the majority of the faults!!

I am going on holiday to Cyprus next month so if I bump into you and yours is still knocking I can have a listen!!!

Just bought a new 307 XSI HDI 2.0 in Recife Blue from Motorpoint car importer. This car came from Cyprus with half leather trim, digital climate control and all the rest of the toys that come with this model. Very happy with the car so far, nice and smooth and comfortable. My first problem was with the drivers floor mat had not been secured and subsequently made the throttle stick on full when I took my foot off the gas. I took it to my local Peugeot dealer thinking it was a linkage problem, but just a common floor mat problem. Next is a query regarding the trip and the total distance counter? I had a funny feeling that these two are not in sync or may be recording in Kilometers instead of Miles. I did a test by setting the trip to zero and taking a note of the total distance which was 374 and doing 100 units on the trip and then recording the total which ended at 499 units. The difference is 125 units which doesn't equate to Kilometers or Miles. Don't know what to do next. Is it Motorpoint's problem or Peugeot UK's problem. Still love the car so far. Your comments are appreciated

PS The trip computer is reading in MPG if this is any help.
