On the first day my indicator stalk wouldn't reset to its normal position. I phoned the next day to book it in and then when I went up there on the Wednesday they hadn't even ordered the part so I am still waiting for that.
After five days the alternator had to be replaced, which was done overnight, so luckily was only without the car for a day.
This car has adequate performance and is very comfortable to drive.
Being a diesel it has its sluggish moments but then the turbo kicks in at about 1500rpm it has a nice pull off.
Compared to my last car (a 1.2 Corsa) it is quick but not as quick off the mark, this is probably oweing to its much more noticable weight.
But overall when the car is on the move it is comfortable to drive and a pleasure to be in.
It is no real town car admittedly, and driving around in 4th gear becomes the norm, but being a diesel the economy comeback is good.
Having driven a 110 version I will have to say that in the higher revs there is not much between them, but the 110 is noticebly quicker off the mark.
Inside its very spacious and of high quality, to be honest a sheer luxuary.
There is loads of storage space and even a bin.
Overall its a pleasurable car, a dream to drive and enjoyable for all.
I totally agree. I acquired a Peugeot 307 SE in April. It's a 54 plate and had just under 12000 miles on it. It has a 1.6. HDi 110bhp 16v engine and it is extremely quick off the mark. I am only 19 so is quick for me. I use it very regularly as I work quite far from home and have racked up 23000 miles on the car now, and the same it drives like a dream. I love the way when you put you're foot down to overtake, the car never seems to think that its trying to perform a job too big. It just sprints past and still all you can hear, is the quiet hum of the engine. My verdict on this car...9/10. When I turn 21 I have my sights set on a Mercedes-Benz CLK 220CDI though!!
I have a Peugeot 307 tdi from 2003, it's a lovely car, easy to drive, very fast and comfortable. I wouldn't change it for any other car.
It's a dream and you really feel special driving this car. If you properly look after the car and you do the services in time, then you shouldn't expect any problems.
Enjoy driving you Peugeot 307, the nicest car I ever drove!
