2001 Peugeot 307 Rapier review from UK and Ireland
"Great engine and gearbox, rest is useless"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seals around the back right door have broke.
General comments?
I bought this car from damaged for £3500, the guy I got it off fully repaired it and the car goes like a dream.
Previous owner I think was a mother running her kids to school so it has a few bumps around it.
I like it's handling and the brakes feel firm and secure.
I've heard bad things about this car, but after driving it for 1,000 miles I'm happy up to now.
From starting from 1,000 RPM there is a massive surge of power between 1,500 RPM and 3,200 RPM then after that, nothing.
I have to say that is the only downfall of this car the HDi 90 is not up to the performance standards of Golfs 1.9 TDi's.
Drive about 60 miles a day and am averaging 49 mpg which is about 3mpg better than I got in my old 205 1.8D.

| A bit more performance and softer seats would be nice, but generally I am OK with it now |
