1989 Peugeot 309 GTi review from UK and Ireland
"High speed fun with a boot"

Slight corrosion above sill.
Discs and pads replaced.
Seat mechanism failed.
Dash Bulbs.
General comments?
This car handles a lot better than my 205 did and it's a lot more comfortable to drive on motorways etc my only gripe is the fact its hungry for fuel and also engine oil. The oil consumption is due to valve wear which is my next expense (Because models made previous to 1989 didn't come with hardened valve seats which means no unleaded fuel which is a bind, but care of millers lead replacement and octane booster additive its o.k. I've had an Ashley exhaust system fitted along with a Ram air induction kit and must say it feels slightly quicker of the line and a lot more responsive. One bonus of owning this car is the parts most of them are common to 205 gti and there's plenty of Peugeot spares or scrap yard dealers around and generally parts are cheap.
