1988 Peugeot 309 GL review from UK and Ireland
"A classic in the making"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Two new tires at 124,000 miles.
New hand brake cable.
New headlight bulb.
New rear brake cylinder's.
General comments?
I bought this car part exchange for my 205 from my dad, he had owned and looked after the 309 for about 3-4 years.
Despite it's plain looks this car has a great personality and I have definately fallen in love with it!
Being 19 all I want is a car that moves quicker than most others and looks better than britney in leather! although my 1.3 dosen't move quicker than all others, when she want's to she can move!
As for the looks I've changed the seat cover's to give it a more boy racer look as have I changed the exterior slightly, i.e. hub cap's, replaced old grille with mesh grill, decal's on front windscreen and laser blue headlight bulbs just to give her a meaner look!
All these apart the car is a dream (at the moment, finger's crossed!) she handle's well on her 13 inch tires and once warmed up drive's like a brand new car, well done peugeot you have a fan for life!
