Well wats the crac.
Oh come on, you can't even compare an fiesta rst with an 1.9 gti. sure it maybe a little bit quicker to 60 but put it on a track or a twisty b road and the 205 would run rings round it.
Check out some of the 205 mi16 videos on you tube and watch them scaring some much bigger toys if your still not a believer...
I like the way the bloke states things like cosworth modified the block. Not really. The block is a standard 205 casting as found in any cortina. Wheres the ford in that? Oh just about 30 years. Cosworth were drafted in to sort out a head yes, but that's cos of the success that cosworth and ford have had in motorsport.
Why do ford sell so many cars? Cos they make cars that can be easily modified. Bell housing patterns remain virtualy unchanged since the 60's.
Get your facts straight people before you start dissing fords, theres not many ford guys that diss pugs. We aknowledge that they are good cars even if they are made by garlic eating surrender monkeys. Oh and headgaskets. You lot are running wet liners for christ sake.

I would like to know, please if the 4wd transfer box/final drive on the 405 is any way similar to that on the Citroen BX gti 4wd (I need to fix mine and it was a known problem for the Citroen to strip teeth on the final drive pinion, having been 'under-designed' for 130 bhp). Naturally the Citroen has the 'all alloy' 1905 multipoint injection engine. Many thanks for any info.
I own a 205 mi16 1.9 few mods my santa pod time is 14.7 I will eat any rs unless its 250 brake plus, but even then weight to power brings it to about the same plus ever time I turn the key it stars unlike my old rs turbo problems.
A standard MI 16 engine produces 160 bhp, you won't beat a 250 bhp RS turbo, they will do a better 1/4 mile than 14.7.

Hi.
I'm the proud owner of a 94' MI16 166,000 km, everything is still working, incredible car, runs like a dream, and never had any problems eating Ford's, I would buy the Peugeot.
Thomas from Denmark.
I own a 205 GTi/mi16 with twin webber 45 carbs, totally track ready, weighs no more than a pack of crisps LOL.
I did a 1/4 run in 14.2, but who cares about that. It really shines out on a track or an A road. A Ford RST would not see which way it had gone LOL.
