1991 Peugeot 405 SRi review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Central locking.
Water leak in passenger footwell.
Engine misfire.
Clutch (88K).
Worn fourth synchro.
Sunroof, speedo cable fixed under warranty, gearbox oil leak, overheating + other probs that I fail to remember!
General comments?
This car looked brilliant and it's great to drive, but boy was it unreliable. It had a constant water leak and a bad misfire which would make the car jerk violently, this was eventually cured but I had to call out the RAC 7 times for various probs!
Mine was very comfy, fast and in great condition (RAC Inspected) and yet things seemed to go wrong every month. If only Peugeot could sort the build quality !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
