1995 Peugeot 405 GLX review from UK and Ireland
"A cheap and reliable workhorse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing major.
Creaky front suspension strut, more annoying than a problem.
General comments?
Diesel Estate version has tons of room, will haul just about anything anywhere with no complaints.
Excellent handling, feels like a much smaller car.
Very economical and cheap to own.
No engine problems at all.
Design is a bit dated now, trim quality only so-so.
Slightly underpowered and noisy at speed.
Very heavy clutch, gears can be hard to select.
