1995 Peugeot 405 GTX review from UK and Ireland
"Economical car with driver appeal"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers seat anchor point has come away from the chassis. Probably due to the height adjustment not working properly.
Emergency seat belt retainer on drivers side exploded into action with no apparent reason. The repair bill will be £340.
Clock is very dim, and virtually unreadable in broad daylight.
Air conditioning slows the car down a little!
General comments?
Superb performer on the motorway, especially when cruising and accelerating between 50 and 70mph.
It returns 45 mpg to 55 mpg depending on usage.
Heater becomes useful very quickly on a cold winters morning.
