1992 Peugeot 405 SRi review from UK and Ireland

Someone smashed my windscreen/mirrors

Nothing Else.

I bought this car because I wanted something quite roomy and different to everybody else. I'm 18 so everybody has got Saxos/Novas etc.

It's bright red with all colour coded bumpers (like the Mi16) so it stands out a bit more than all the others. It has 16" TSW wheels with 205/45/16s. Morette twin headlight conversion, full stainless steel powerflow exhaust and it has Bilstein suspension all round and lowered on Bilstein springs. It looks really good. Has uprated Mi16 brakes on the front and the Mi16 axle on the back so both match up. Front is fitted with grooved discs and I don't know what pads.

Mine is the older model with the 1905cc 8v engine and I am told these have 120bhp?

My engine is fitted with Pipercross induction kit, fast road cams, port/polish head etc. all new piston rings and all of that stuff. I have bills from previous owner from LAD Motorsport for over £1600 for this work!

Interior is all standard to my knowledge, very comfy, great driving position, almost perfect for me.

I have all MOTs etc from new so I know I have a well looked after one.

You have probably guessed it handles like nothing else with the full Bilstein set-up on it (£900 excl. fit)

It stops pretty well as well, however the engine is dead when going around town. On the motor way however you would think it is a different car. Can anyone tell me why? Very responsive and fast, I have had about 128 on the clock and I ran out of motor way so I had to stop so something is working propely under the bonnet. Very stable as you would expect. The sound is phenominal with the exhaust (£300 fitted so that was a bargain)

Overall I am very pleased with it, but can anyone tell me why acceleration from stop is not as fast as you would expect, but on the motorway from 65ish it flys? Also if a standard car is 120bhp give or take, what do you expect my car to be with all of the mods?
