1995 Peugeot 405 GTX review from UK and Ireland
"A niggly car with lower than average running costs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery died after 4 years.
Tyre wear on the front is high and uneven.
Automatic gearbox recently started making a loud popping noise when changing from 2nd to 3rd!
Suspension clatter is ever present and 'a feature of the model'.
Vacuum hoses on the sensors crack causing leaks which make the car stall intermittently.
Indicators start up all by themselves - very annoying.
General comments?
The seats are narrow and short and become very uncomfortable after more than an hour or so.
