1999 Peugeot 406 review from Egypt
"Big Money Pit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The gear sensor was replaced after 1000km.
The engine valves were replaced after 3000km.
The A/C unit must be adjusted before every summer.
The water pump was replaced after 40000km.
The radiator was replaced after 60000km.
The benzene pump was replaced after 120000.
The finishing is very poor (Assembled in Egypt).
The four tyres together with spear are replaced in the first 1000km.
General comments?
The company has a very good reputation in Egypt, probably because of the old model 504, but all models afterwords are made of very poor quality.
