1998 Plymouth Breeze Base review from North America
"A very decent vehicle."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The resistor block for the heater control failed twice.
The transmission would sometimes downshift rather hard from 3rd to 2nd gear.
General comments?
I've owned the Breeze for two years, and have had no major issues with the vehicle. It has never let me down.
Performance is adequate with the 2.4L, however it does lack in low end torque, even though it generates 167 ft/lbs at 4000rpm. However past 3,000 rpm is where it makes most of its power. It certainly isn't a replacement for a 6cyl. Passing power on the highway is good.
Gas mileage is OK, however its no better compared to some V6's.
Ride comfort is decent with its rather sophisticated suspension, and on the highway its very comfortable.
