"Good car for the money, but seriously underpowered with the 2.0"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

At 135,000 miles the water pump went out. Took car to a local mechanic. He said it appeared to be the original water pump. Cost almost $800 to replace. Seals around the doors are almost gone. Very cheap material. So far no water intrusion into passenger compartment.

General comments?

The 2.0L engine with automatic transmission is a joke. The car has absolutely no pick-up what so ever. I have to get up to 4000 rpm just to merge into traffic. Otherwise the car seems to be reliable. I just wish all the controls were illuminated. Its hard to adjust the climate control at night because only half the controls are illuminated.

Y don't you fix the car that may be y the lights are out and that is your fault you can't blame the car for that if you don't keep it up it is your fault.
