1975 Plymouth Duster review from North America
"Ol' Reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Having only driven this car for a bit over 1000 miles, I cannot say to much has gone wrong with it besides general maintenance.
General comments?
When I bought the car, it was obvious it was not well taken care of, yet it ran well. It turns out the rotor, distributor cap, plugs, and wires were all ORIGINAL FROM 75! and it still ran well...
After replacing those parts, and reseating and cleaning the carb (getting around to rebuilding) I noticed a massive increase in horsepower and gas mileage (was at like 10mpg)
For being 30 years old and porely maintained, the car is still running strong. Still needs more TLC, but it is nice as is.
