At about 20,000 miles it was recalled for front brake rotors.
At about 32,000 miles I brought it back to the dealership for the engine light being on. They replaced the throttle position sensor and an oxygen sensor.
At about 62,000 miles I replaced the rear main seal and front cam seal (replaced the timing belt just for preventive maintenance)
At about 80,000 miles I replaced the muffler (I have never yet replaced any other exhaust component). I also replaced the front brake pads and had the rotors re-surfaced.
At about 130,000 miles I replaced the EGR transducer valve. I also replaced the air conditioning compressor.
At 141,000 my head gasket blew and I replaced that and while I was at it I replaced the water pump (just for preventive maintenance) and the rear main seal again. The camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor.
At about 155,000 miles I replaced the front and rear struts and had an alignment done. I also replaced the starter and alternator.
At about 170,000 I replaced the front brake pads and rotors. Both oxygen sensors.
Considering the miles I put on my car I feel the car has performed perfectly.
All I do is change the oil every 3000 - 4000 miles and other minor maintenance and the car runs just as good today as the day I bought it.
I drive about 100 miles a day round trip to work so most of the miles are highway miles.
It has always run good and handled well for an economy car. It's fun to drive and very good on gas (I average 28 - 32 miles per gallon at 75 MPH)
The car has served me well but alas it is getting tired and in the spring of 2002 I will be saying farewell to a good car and saying hello to a Chrysler Concorde or Nissan Maxima.
Buy the Nissen Maxima the Concorde has it's own problems that will cost you!!! Air conditioning coming on when it chooses cold air in the winter and heat not shutting off in the summer. Arm on windshield washer motor comes off and jams the other leaving you with no vision on a raining downpour. Transmission replaced at 30,000 miles. Half the cost of the car!!!
Go with the Concorde. Friends have some and ahhhh I want it lol... they love them and have well over 200,000 on them (that is the older Concorde before the 2.7L...stay away from that motor...)
