1995 Plymouth Neon Highline Sedan from North America - Comments

"Cute and Zippy at first, too many problems in the long term"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Head gasket is about to blow. We're leasing a new Toyota Echo, so the Neon has been sitting since December 2001.

Constantly leaks oil, which is related to the head gasket problem.

Both oxygen sensors replaced within 1,000 miles of each other.

Timing belt replaced at 58,000 miles.

I am 5'9" and can't find a comfortable seat-to-steering wheel ratio. Either my legs are too close to the pedals and I can reach with my arms, or my legs are comfortable and I'm reaching too far with my arms.

Very easy to fit a car-seat in each of the back seats.

No trunk light.

General comments?

The car is very "zippy", but it's unreliability is not worth it.

We are trying to sell our Neon and have lowered the price significantly, since the head gasket is going out. Makes me nervous when anyone wants to test drive it.

Worst car I ever bought. My car is 4 yrs old and still not paid off. My head gasket jus blow on top of a rear main seal leak. Plus I'm always replacing my breaks. I would never advise anyone to buy this car.
