1995 Plymouth Neon 4 Door Sport review from North America
"It's a reliable car yet costly problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There are scratches on the driver's and passengers' windows from rolling them up and down.
The oil has leaked several times in the past 2 years.
The speedometer stopped working for awhile.
The check engine light came on 3 times in a period of 5 months.
Sometimes the blinkers act up.
Sometimes the button for the fog lights won't turn on or off.
Moisture builds up in front window by the bottom edge in the wintertime.
Windows seems to fall down and can be very annoying.
We replaced tires at 52,000 miles.
At 53,000 miles, our air conditioning just went out.
The car rusts easily around the bottom of the doors--we replaced 2 doors still under warranty. It costs $800 to replace it, and the car itself is worth a little over $3000.
General comments?
The anti-lock brakes work wonderfully on the car.
Due to problems with the air conditioning and other problems that have come up in the past year, it is time to consider buying a better car. Suggestion: try a Chevy Prizm, we have never had any problems with those.
