The left turn signal turns on when the brake is applied.
Power steering fluid leaks and must be added weekly in warmer months and bi-weekly in colder months. The repair would cost about $500 which is about what the car is worth.
The care sometimes hesitates when trying to accelerate. This can cause things to get a little dicey when pulling out at a busy intersection although it mainly occurs in the higher gears on the highway etc.
The Neon has been a great car. It is inexpensive to run and is reliable. As is ages it seems to be developing more problems, but for someone equipped to deal with them it would be a great car to run into the ground. The car is incredibly fun to drive and handles great. The braking is excellent as well/
I traded in my 1995 Neon for a 2004 Honda Civic EX yesterday. The Civic is OK and supposedly very reliable. It is comfortable and looks great, but I will definitely miss my Neon. The Civic does not have nearly as much pep as the Neon, it accelerates more slowly on the highway and does not seem to do as well at high speeds. It also does not handle as well around turns and in and out of traffic etc. They tell me I will get used to it... I hope so!
Your blinker turns on when applying the brakes?
I have a '95 Neon as well, and sometimes when my left blinker is on, applying the brakes makes it act as if the bulb is burned out.
