1990 Pontiac 6000 LX review from North America
"A great all around car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New brakes.
I replaced normal things when I got it...
New CV joint.
Plenum valve needed replacing.
Passenger power window doesn't work.
General comments?
Considering I payed $550 for this car due to high mileage, I am very well pleased. It has given me 18,000 miles in the less than two years I have had it.
The cost of repairs has probably gone to about $500, but I don't think I could have done better for $1000.
This car has a large 3.1 liter engine and has good acceleration. Burn outs are a breeze, and merging is no problem. Has been very reliable, I have never been stranded by it.
For a car with this much mileage, I love it, it's much better than my last which died with less than 100K. I'm hoping to get to a quarter-million in this one, and it's not showing any signs of stopping yet.
Take care of it and it will take care of you.
