1990 Pontiac 6000 LE review from North America
"Fun and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well when I got this car is was in some lady's yard and needed a battery. It had sat for a year, first turn of the key with a new battery it jumped to life and ran great! I tuned it up, and its been great!
The radiator was rotting out when I got it, so I decided to get a new one, a whopping $90 delivered to my door, LOL.
The heater core soon followed after, but only was 30$ for a new one.
Nothing was every wrong with this car until she hit 220k and I was flooring it up a hill and it blew a headgasket. I did the new gaskets myself, which they were in bad shape, apparently the cooling system had been severely neglected over the years. Car runs beautifully now and hasn't giving me a problem since.
General comments?
Well it cost me 450 bucks, and when cleaned up it looked pretty decent and it drove nice! Very comfy and smooth. It's pretty damn powerful for what it is, and the A/C blew ice freakin cold in the dead of the summer. I wish I had an STE model tho...
