What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air conditioner condenser $1000! Ouch (blower, resistor module and condenser)
Brakes/Rotors (four sets each since 2003)
Wheel Bearings (twice in my left tires)
Wheel Hubs (two- but it still doesn't work properly and the anti lock brake light is still on)
Speed Sensors (see above-wheel hub) $265.
Tires (three sets since 2003- not sure why they were wearing out so fast!)
Module (ecbm) $650! ouch!)
Key stuck in ignition (battery 69.00 installed)
Key stuck in ignition (ignition light cylinder/air conditioner tray and battery something bolt.. total $450)
Intake manifold gasket
water pump with belt tensioner... $1280.
Chafed wire to ABS sensor $75.
Resetting ABS $56.
Oxygen sensor $160.
And that's just what I saw in the first receipt pile!
It's a nightmare!
General comments?
I love the size of the car, in fact it was perfect for me and my kids. Yet, I've had constant repairs over the last three years or so. I would plan to get rid of it, but then it'd be working and I'd decide to keep it... BAD IDEA! It looks great on the outside... but I can't keep it running long enough to sell it! It's in the shop today! Which is why I'm online here.. I'm a single mom with three kids and I have spent thousands on this car, depleting my savings, so now I have no money for another car! Yet, today they say it'll be $450 to fix... and yet, that doesn't even touch the antilock problem that the $thousands over the last few years has gone to repairing.. unsuccessfully!!! It's a nightmare.
