2001 Pontiac Aztek GT review from North America

Sunroof started leaking at 7035 miles, reported it to dealer. Dealer could not duplicate problem of leak.Leak continued off/on leaking for about a year, dealer eventually determined screws in roof rack caused slow leak in heavy rain.Dealer took apart the headliner and cleaned headliner numerous times while trying to determine leak problem, but finally in the end, ended up replacing headliner due to smell of it.

Replaced rear passenger door gasket weatherstrip 4330 miles.

Lug nuts missing at 10,828 miles.

Roof leak at 11,099 headliner damage due to bolt in roof rack leaking.

AC leaking replaced condenser at 14,459

miles.Coolant leak,radiator assembly. Dealer repaired AC and coolant leak.

Rubber piece between bumper and rear hatch area curling up flapping in wind at 10,028 miles.

21,284 miles recall on battery and passenger kick plate loose.

28,788 water leak in roof, sun roof or CD , and windows will not close, dealer adjusted glass in sunroof.Replaced loose kick plate.Recall on child seat anchors attended to.

Various electrical problems in the interior of car ranging from no interior lights or car blowing fuses left and right like crazy or dash lights blinking, headlights blinking on/off, no cigarette lighter,no CD player, windows refusing to go up or down,etc.These electrical problems happened each time I picked up car from dealer, after they worked on car as the dealer was trying to find roof leak.Dealer realized that they had crossed wiring during their work performed on headliner while dealer looked for sunroof leak.Another time dealer cut wires, nicked wires in several places, but did not fix until later date.

Inside mirror fell off window shield, sunroof will not close leaking through sunroof mileage 28,788. Dealer replaces passenger visor and sunroof gasket.

30,269 miles my passenger kick plate came off, sunroof rattling, interior lights not working, lost 3 more lug nuts, told dealer of air noise I kept hearing in car and radio static. Dealer fixed clamps on kick plate, trimmed sunroof glass, replaced fuse kit for lighting, replaced lug nuts.

31,828 miles lights in car inoperable, leak in roof has ruined headliner, passenger headlight out. Dealer fixed headlight, orders headliner, says headliner has short in it, return for fixing when headliner comes in.

Changed brake shoes twice before 36,000.

Intake manifold leak discovered at 38,000 miles.

Needed new battery at 39,000 miles.

Went through 2 sets of tires by 42,000 miles.

The car has been a disappointment as far as holding up,seems I was constantly at dealers for something. I am not happy with the quality of the car especially were the intake manifold is concerned.I am at a point now where I feel like I have a lemon and resale is not a option as there is no value there.

The only plus side to the car is comforts in interior and ride.
