I drove my car on monday was normal lights on dash and head light flicker like a candle. horn makes different sounds.but today I went to start my car I put the key in the ignition and the key would not turn in either direction.lights shine fine interior lights work fine so I know the battery is OK does anyone have any idea what may cause this and how to fix it please email me at biggpapi3@yahoo.com I would be very greatful for any advice to remedy this problem.
Its pretty simple to see where the problem stands: take a meter and measure the voltage of battery. If good, with the engine off, you should have around 12V. If it is less than 11V the battery is gone. If it is 12V, the starter is gone. But check the wires first to make sure that they are tighten on the battery (they might cause the same symptoms).
