2001 Pontiac Bonneville SE review from North America
"Awesome bang for the buck - good looking, cheap to own"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Car is high miles, but is in really great shape cosmetically... small things like the center console armrest latch is broken and a bear to find a replacement... discontinued and rare in junkyards... hate that the little lugnut caps can never stay on these wheels... same thing happened on a Grand Prix that I had with the same wheels. Minor cosmetics only. Solid, solid car...
General comments?
This is a pretty big car, but does not feel clumsy. I love the size of the interior. It is an awesome highway cruiser and is really smooth. The 3.8 liter is one of the best engines that GM has made... I am getting 22 to 24 mpg in mixed driving on 87 octane. Love the seats. Very easy to use the controls. The long wheelbase makes this thing so comfortable on the highways. Mine has worn struts/shocks and I am looking forward to locking it down a little tighter. CD player sounds fantastic for a stock factory unit. Great feel to the steering wheel too. Love this car. Going for 250,000.
