1993 Pontiac Bonneville SE review from North America
"I love my car!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cracked windshield (was there when I bought it).
Small anti-freeze leak... replaced thermostat housing ($13.00 fix) and replaced gasket (.99 cent fix).
General comments?
I bought this car in a jam... I'm a stay at home mom, have kids I need to schlep around, errands to run, hubby to drive to work... etc... bought the car off a popular website in my area (craigslist.com) for 500.00.
WAS WORTH EVERY LAST PENNY OF THAT 500.00!!! This car is FABULOUS, I love it!
It had a cracked windshield when I bought it.. 175.00 bucks to replace with a brand new one..
Took it to a mechanic my hubby knows, hooked it up to a diagnostic... NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT!! Mechanic said it was perfect (in so many words)
It has a small antifreeze leak, hubby bought a new housing for 13.00 bucks, but he put the gasket on a little off from where it should be... 99 cents for a new gasket will stop it... drove for like I don't know, 2 or 3 days with no antifreeze in it, didn't show any signs of over heating at all.. just kept going like it always does.
Wonderful, powerful, reliable car.. going strong, running like brand new with OVER 216,000 miles on it. Starts right up every morning (even when it's below freezing or below zero out).
Heat kicks ass, air works great, all in all a great car.. would buy 13 more just like it!!! :)
Would HIGHLY recommend a Bonneville to ANYONE looking for a great reliable, nice looking, roomy, comfy, WONDERFUL, FABULOUS car!!!
