Not a thing has gone wrong with it that shouldn't have. I have 254+K miles and have only changed oil, tires, an alternator at 164,000, a water pump at 200k and the lower radiator hose at 253k.
Very reliable, pretty sporty and body has held up well to Michigan.
I love my 1990 Pontiac Bonneville. I think it is the best car that I ever owned. It is a very safe car that got a 5 star rating when it was tested. I feel so safe in it, especially in the winter when Pennsylvania's roads are at their worst.
I also love my Bonnie but.. I recently have had some major malfunctions with it. One day it just would not crank. No fire and erattic fire.
Tore it down. Replaced the timing chain and gears and the little magnet on the cam sprocket cause it was laying at the bottom of the cover. Crank shaft sensor had the middle finger broken out. Fingers on back of harmonic balancer were bent (probably a rock). Also put on a new coil module. Still it will not fire. Also replaced the cam shaft sensor. Tomorrow I will replace the coil pack.
That's my last hope. It this don't work I am gonna take it to the Pontiac shop and get blutt-plugged I guess. ;- (Also no fuses are blown.. so.. I have about given up.
