What things have gone wrong with the car?

Struts at 85,000 - normal.

Alternator at 100,000.

NOTHING ELSE except normal wear and tear

over 170,000 currently with NO problems.

General comments?

Buy a Bonneville if you are looking for an exceptional car with an exceptional value. This is my second Bonneville and I now have over 170,000 miles on this one and I had over 190,000 on my last and that one is still on the road.

My Bonneville is one of the worst cars I have ever had. I warn you to the utmost extent. The engine would turn off unexpectedly, wouldn't start, gas guzzler, would overheat, very unsafe, doors would not lock. Truly a safety hazard to other vehicles. One of my friends drives a Mercury Tracer. It has far outperformed my Bonneville in nearly every area. Look out for Canadian made tracers, they are as bad as my Bonneville.
