1995 Pontiac Bonneville k review from North America
"This veh will with out a doubt be a collectors car someday"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I replaced the water pump in early 2000, $50.00. The overdrive solenoid went out in the transmission, $300.00 to fix. The idler pulley, $50.00. The radiator, went factory on that $275.00. This is the second engine, so the car has 185k, but the engine was replaced at 80k. Most recently the oil pan gasket and the trans pan gasket were replaced. The oil level indicator was replaced as well, it left the 'check oil level' light on all the time. The trans cooler lines were replaced (special order, dealer only) $100.00 for both. The starter, also. I know this sounds like a lot, but not really. I commute in this car 100 miles a day. As a family we have driven to Niagra Falls, Cleveland, South Carolina and Tennessee, and every time it consistantly get 27 mpg. Outstanding. Stereo controls on steering wheel quit working, no big deal. The window switch on the drivers door for both passenger windows have quit working.
General comments?
The car is as dependable as any on the road.
The paint is still great.
Brakes have never given me trouble, nor has the brake system problem other bonnevilles have had.
Doesn't burn oil, and not a leak one.
