1988 Pontiac Fiero GT review from North America
"I've had this car for 20 years and have no plans to sell it any time soon"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oil pressure sensor was a continually failed due to water intrusion. Sensor was relocated and is not an issue anymore. Clutch failed at 5000 miles due to a rear main seal leak.
General comments?
I have always enjoyed this car and still do to this day. It still excites me to drive it. It's a shame GM screwed up so badly with this car. They finally got it right in 1988 and then they killed it. If they had built it this way in 1984 it would have been around for many more years.
This Fiero is very refined and a pleasure to drive!
