1987 Pontiac Fiero GT from North America - Comments

I had to replace a worn out spark plug cable.

Great fun to drive! Corners fast and flat.

Excellent value, high smiles per gallon.

Many mods available for performance and appearance.

Surprisingly large group of devoted followers willing to help each other.

Now I want two. Or three. Or four.

You might want to get two, three, or four other cars. These Pontiac Fiero's caught on fire. You can use the other cars as part cars. Hey, you might want to take out more life insurance. Just a suggestion.

Yet again an ignorant comment. People, Fieros had fire problems for the first year of production and there was a recall to fix the problem. Other than that no other major problems in these cars.

Fieros are excellent cars in general. The only weakness I've come across is the cooling system. Poor air flow through the radiator and coolant hoses routed near the exhaust have been problem areas in the past. Other than this, no complaints here.

I have a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT 5 spd with a 2.8L 6 cyl. I just did a complete tune up by installing 6 new spark plugs, new heavier plug wires, new distributer cap, new fuel Filter, new air filter, and a new PC valve. The car runs awesome and is extremely quick. I own a fiero gt, and love it. These cars can have more

personality than dr. jekly and mr. hide. The sky is the limit. You can also slap a lt1 in it and have a fast ride, the car handles great. BEST INVESTMENT.
