1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"I will not buy this car again!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hi I have had this car for 2 years (pontiac grand am) and it has been problems after problems. First of all the ignition control module has been replaced 4 times that’s $200 each time. But now I have the problem that the engine will run for fraction of a second and then turn off. Well one day I went to college and left me there I got so mad I hit the to of the dashboard and it suddenly started good. I went down to the dealership they said is $80 to run a test and I’m looking at 1,500 to 2,000 to fix something that is “defective” come on its not a ware and tare thing. It also has lots of problems with the brakes. I have had 2 car accidents because of this. I wouldn’t by another one!!!
General comments?
Car handles very good on curves and is very economical on gas even when the ac is full blast. The engine runs great it feels like a v6, evonthogh it's a v4.
