2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT1 review from North America
"More reliable than my Honda Accord!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In the almost four years that I have owed my Grand Am I have had not one single problem with the car. Not one. It still looks and runs like brand new!
This is by far the best car I have ever owned.
General comments?
I was told before I bought the car "Don't buy a Grand Am, you will regret it!" "Buy a Honda or a Toyota, they run FOREVER!" Whatever! This is not true and I know this for a fact because I also own a 1999 Honda Accord Ex coupe that has only 102,000 miles, it has the Vtec 4 with a 5 speed. I love the gas miles, but the car is made so cheap. Everything is falling off or apart. I have had this car in the shop 3 times over the past six months and have spent over $2,300 on repairs. The car was well taken care of and I have all the records to prove it. Now the Honda just sits in my drive because I'm too afraid something else will go wrong with it. I will keep driving my Pontiac because I know that even with the high miles, it will get me where I need to go and won't let me down like the Honda has many times.
