To the other people who have posted comments who think its okay that more than half of the people here have the same issues and you are trying to make it like everything to fix it is in the owner manual:
I have had the same issues as the people above.
-My air settings 1, and 2 do not work.
- the car shut off while I was driving on an expressway (while I was pregnant) trying to get to my doctors appointment. Had I wrecked, the Pontiac would be in serious trouble. I don't suppose a reason for that is in the owner manual?
-I have had to replace my brakes and rotors at least twice a year.
-I had to replace my belts only once.
-my alternator has broken about 3 times.
-my automatic seat motor doesn't work anymore.
-my coolant light comes on, even though there is sufficient coolant.
-The metal has come out of my seat and has torn my clothing.
-All around headache from this car, and I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a Pontiac...EVER. I can't wait to get rid of mine.
If your coolant light is on, don't ignore it! Keep an eye on your oil, you could have a slow coolant leak (hardly noticeable for a few months) that will turn your oil brown and thick. Gaskets on the intake manifold are defective and will HAVE to be replaced. (They leak the coolant into the engine)
