2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT review from North America
"Not worth buying"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
3 months after purchasing my 01 Grand Am, I had to replace the front axle. Then I replaced it a second and third time.
I had some issue with it using a gallon of anti freeze a week - paid 600.00 to get that fixed.
During the whole time I owned the car, I had to put air in the tires weekly; was told it was a problem with the rims. Bought new tires and had them sealed 3 times before I just gave up.
Also had the driver side door hinge just blow out, so then the door just swung all the way open. Not fun in the wind.
To top all this off, the motor and transmission went out, causing me to ultimately purchase a new car. Good riddance! This car sucked the life and money out of me for 4 years.
General comments?
This car was a total piece of crap! Money pit!
