1998 Pontiac Grand Am GT review from North America
"A low grade car, not worth risking your money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
LET ME START WITH THIS:
Dead alternator.
Brake pads replaced 12 times starting at 3,000 miles.
Window regulator (bad).
Ignition.
Serpentine belt and idle tension pulley.
Seat problems.
Rotors.
Shifter replaced 3 times.
O2 sensor.
Water pump.
Gasket kit.
Heater core problems.
ABS problems.
Had to replace a rim.
Feeling the transmission slipping.
General comments?
I have spent $12,000 in repairs to this car and it isn't even half paid off yet.
This car has caused me problems from the time I took it off the lot. The (Pontiac) dealership has given me the run around about this car. I have found out that many other 1998 Pontiac GT cars are having similar problems. I never will recommend this car for anyone, it is a waste of money, and will cause problems financially and will cause you transportation problems.
