I'm a proud owner of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am Gt with a Ram air intake. And yes I can white smoke it, and yes it hauls ass but I want MORE!!! I've found intakes, superchargers, exhaust and chips. It tops out at around 100 to 110, how can I get rid of the governor, rev limiter, and take of the traction control system?
I have a Grand Am GT 2000 and I love it to death!!! But I want to make it faster. Could someone please help me?
Please email me at mexblink@tmail.com
Thanks
BEWARE - get rid of the Grand Am GT ASAP. It is a money pit destined to create havoc! I too fell in love with this car and it has turned into Christine - quite literally.
In the last 30 days I have been able to drive my car for 4 days - the rest of the time this car has been on the hook of a wrecker or in the shop. I have spent over $1,000 in the last 30 days on this car and it still will not start. I have replaced 2 ignition cylinders, 2 body control modules and a fuel pump. Nothing fixes this car.
This is the second Grand Am I have purchased - apparently I should have learned the first time. The first Grand Am I purchased had a faulty motor design and blew up and GM would not stand by their product. The second Grand Am has now stumped even the best of the GM mechanics and GM still maintains that they are not going to do anything to even encourage future sales.
Now I have a 2000 Grand Am GT with the Ram Air intake. And I am only 15 but I just want a car that will spin a good distance, and I know a V-6 can get up and go but will this one? Please let me know.
I know this car sounds amazing, but will it spin as good as it sounds?
Please contact me with the honest to God truth.
Thanks.
